Hey y’all! Y’all know how much I’ve missed traveling, so I decided to book a mini road trip close to Austin for me and the hubs. For this weekend getaway we decided to drive to San Antonio and explore the Historic Pearl area while we were there. Before hitting the road, we borrowed an SUV through Avail at the AUS airport, and would 10/10 recommend!
Avail is a car sharing company, which means all of the cars are owned by real locals. As a car owner in the area, you can list your car on their iOS app and earn up to $25 per day if someone borrows it. It’s a great way to make a passive income if you don’t use your car during the week, or while you are traveling. Sharing your car through Avail while you travel = free airport parking and a free shuttle to your terminal.
Using Avail to borrow a car was such a quick and easy process! Similar to listing your car, you can book one online or through their iOS app, and you are good to go within minutes. I also love that there are no cancellation or second driver fees, and full coverage Allstate insurance included in the price. So if you are listing your car, you can feel confident that it’s safe. The check in process was also so easy (no lines or paperwork), and they had everything ready when we arrived. Lastly, each vehicle is deeply cleaned before and after each listing so you don’t need to worry about germs. I’m seriously so glad we discovered Avail! Since we love to travel, we will definitely be using Avail next time we book a trip. I can borrow another car to explore more local Texas spots, or list it at the AUS airport and rent it out while I’m away. Use my code TRENDYTHERAPIST for $50 off when you book at any of their 14 locations across the U.S. (offer ends 4/30/21). This was a total game changer and a great service to see if they offer locally or at your next travel destination. Here’s how we spent our day in San Antonio:
