Hi friends! We recently stayed at the COOLEST shipping container hotel outside of Austin, Texas and I just had to share this spot with y’all! The shipping container hotel we stayed at is called Flophouze Shipping container hotel in Round Top, Texas. We currently live in Austin, Texas, and this was the best little hidden getaway! It only took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from our home to this hotel. Not only was this hotel and town amazing, but the hotel allows for pets too. We are always on the hunt for dog friendly getaways close to Austin, so if you have furbabies, definitely check out this spot!

FAVORITE FOOD:
1.) Garden Company feed and firewater
2.) margaritas and apps at Manditos
3.) pies at Royers Pie Haven
THINGS TO DO:
1.) check out the little city of Round Top for cute antique shops, restaurants
2.) There’s a winery a few miles away called Blue Mule Wines and you can pet the alpacas, donkeys (I was living my best life here haha). The alpacas an donkeys are in a fenced area, but we were lucky enough for them to come up to the fence to pet them!
3.) relax in the heated jacuzzi/pool shipping container pool at the hotel
4.) bring supplies for smores to build your own fire, make smores, relax in the hammocks and gaze at the stars
If you’re looking for a quick, romantic roadtrip outside of Austin, Texas, I would definitely recommend this spot! Don’t forget that it’s also dog friendly, so grab your furbabies for a fun vacation you won’t forget!
