AMAZING ROAD TRIP GETAWAY OUTSIDE OF AUSTIN TEXAS
Hey y’all! A few of my blogger friends and me recently went on a little road trip to Boerne, Texas which is right outside of Austin (~1.5 hours from South Austin). If you’re wanting a little escape from Austin, I would highly recommend to check this little town out! I was honestly shocked how cute this small town was, and also how AMAZING the food was! Everyone was wearing masks everywhere we went, and I felt very safe the entire time we were there.
This trip was hosted by Travel Boerne, and there wasn’t a thing I would change about the itinerary they put together. Every place just kept getting better lol-we had so much fun! I’m going to list our 3 day itinerary below (listed in order of the things we checked out:)
THE BEVY HOTEL
We stayed at The Bevy Hotel, which I would highly recommend. It was really cute! They have a cute pool area, great appetizers and drinks at the bar, and an amazing dinner at the hotel!

WEDNESDAY PLANS:
4 PM: checked into The Bevy Hotel and had some appetizers and drinks at the bar
6PM: We visited Salty & Sweet for some delicious pretzels & ice cream! The ice cream was my absolute favorite! I believe I got the cookie explosion and it was wonderful. Also, they had so many different fun candy options that reminded me of childhood (anyone remember candy dots, candy cigarettes, and/or big league gum? Tell me you do so I can not feel so old lol)

7 PM: Dinner at the Bevy hotel. Our hotel had amazing food for dinner. I ordered the fish and chips and it was incredible!

THURSDAY PLANS:
9AM: Breakfast at Little Gretel. Supposedly their pecan pancakes are amazing- I just ordered the Van Rijn omelette and it was so delicious! I also had a fruit & cheese kolache and OMG I was craving this for days!

11 AM: We explored downtown Boerne and there are so many cute stores to walk into and check out. I love finding new cute boutiques, and I stopped at Boutique Chloe Rose and I found 2 outfits I loved that I had to purchase- such cute stuff!
12 PM: We ate lunch at Compadres Hill Country Cocina! If you’re looking for some good Tex Mex food- I would highly recommend. They do sell out quickly, so the earlier you get there, the better. I ordered the beef nachos and they were delicious!

3PM: We were able to visit Saint Tryphon winery for a private event. They aren’t open to the public yet, but you can order some wine from Saint Tryphon to go! My favorite was the Albarino El Jardin, which you can find here.

6PM: Dinner at Cypress Grill– This personally was my favorite food spot! The dinner was absolutely incredible. Every dish was mouth watering and the flavors were wonderful! I had the wedge salad for an appetizer, and smoked Tandoori chicken thighs for my main meal. The seared ahi tuna tataki was also spectacular!
FRIDAY PLANS:
8 AM: Coffee/breakfast at Black Rifle Coffee company

9AM: We scheduled a tour to see the “Cave without a name” and this was just magical!! I highly recommend checking this cave out! It was very interesting to hear the history of the cave and to also check out how beautiful it is. The tour guide was also telling us how they do concerts there, which sounds incredible (sadly, I no idea when this will start back up due to COVID, but hoping sometime in the near future, this can resume:). After the cave, we were able to grab a bag of gemtones and do some gemstone panning, which was so much fun!
12PM: Lunch at Richter Tavern. I loved the industrial design of this cute little lunch spot. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and they had a cute boutique located on the first floor if you wanted to get in some good shopping afterwards:)
2PM: Drove back to Austin, but we and to stop and get some Bubble Tea on our way out! We stopped at The Bubble Tea Factory and it was so good!
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if y’all have any questions:)
