Since the hubs and I loved our trip to Portland, Oregon so much, I thought it would be fun to share with y’all our five favorite things we did in & around Portland. One of our friends actually lives in Portland and was nice enough to take us around to all of his favorite spots and his favorite things to do in and around Portland. After going to each of these places, I fell so in love with Portland and can’t wait for our next trip there! That being said, here is a list of my top 5 things to do in & around Portland!
5 things to do in & around Portland Oregon
1.) Beacon Rock
1.) BEACON ROCK: This was actually located in Washington (less than a 1 hour drive from Portland and I would highly recommend if you love the outdoors and discovering beautiful hikes). This switchback trail was about a mile long and takes you to the top of the 848 foot Beacon Rock. The hike was relatively easy and view from the top made the hike totally worth it!

2.) POWELLS BOOKS
2.) POWELL’S BOOKS: Okay-funny story I use to HATE reading lol, but over the past few years, I’ve discovered a new love and appreciation for books! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with books about business, marketing, and productivity. Anyways, if you love books, you need to check out this book store! This place has books about everything. I mean, EVERYTHING. It’s HUGE and super unique- definitely a must see in Portland!

3.) LATOURELL FALLS
3.) LATOURELL FALLS: This waterfall is located along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and is about 40 minutes away from Portland. It was one of my favorite waterfalls I’ve ever seen! The rock formations along the waterfall were so unique and beautiful. Pictures don’t capture the full beauty of this waterfall!
4.) KNOT SPRINGS
4.) KNOT SPRINGS: Talk about a hidden gem and some beautiful views of Portland…wow!! This place was amazing. It’s basically a bathhouse for millennials. They had a 3 different temperature pools (warm, hot, and cold plunge) along with steam room and sauna. They also had a beautiful outdoor relaxation area that looked over downtown Portland. Also, they have options for fitness classes, massages, and foot rubs. We didn’t try any of those options, but the amenities! You can’t take your phone into the pool area (which was actually a really nice change of pace), but I did capture a photo of the views on our way out:)

5.) CATHEDRAL PARK
5.) CATHEDRAL PARK: This park is a neighborhood in Portland, Oregon located under the St. John’s Bridge. It’s such a beautiful little park and area for people watching, hanging out, and a picnic!

Hope y’all liked this roundup of my Top 5 Favorite Things to do in & around Portland! I will definitely be adding more top 5 favorites in all areas under the “Trendy Top 5” section of my blog, which you can find here.
