For travel Tuesday this week, I’ll be talking about one of my FAVORITE places in the U.S. where Trav and I use to live for a year before we moved to Austin. I know most of you probably know where I’m referring to, but if u don’t, its SCOTTSDALE, AZ!! I miss this city so much! The other weekend, we stayed at the J.W. Marriott in Scottsdale, AZ. This hotel is normally super expensive, but we scored a deal and I’m about to tell you how we did it!
Has anyone ever heard of the Priceline “name your own price?” If not, you should totally check it out! You basically enter the city you want to travel to, the area you want to stay, the star level you prefer, and then you name a price. Depending on what you put in, it will either accept or reject your price. If it’s accepted, it will tell you after what hotel you get. If it’s rejected, you have to wait 24 hours to try again. If your the type of person that wants to know exactly the place you are staying, then obviously I wouldn’t recommend this option for you. We typically either use the price negotiator or the express deals option, and we have never been disappointed.
Anyways, this hotel in Scottsdale is one of my favorites! I love the landscaping of this property and the abundance of flowers and cacti. I was trying to capture a lot of photos so I could share the beauty with y’all. I’ve also rounded up some of our favorite places to dine. The places we love are: Sumo Maya, Citizen Public House (the chopped salad is AMAZEEEE), Roka Akor, Diego Pops, The Mission, Evo, Craft 64, The Henry, Ingos, Butter’s (our favorite breakfast place). There are also so many fun things to do in Scottsdale! We loved checking out old town scottsdale, Scottsdale fashion square & Scottsdale quarter(I think I loved the last 2 more than the hubs ahah). If anyone is into nature and enjoys hiking and biking, there are some amazing spots for this. I think what we enjoyed the most about our time in Scottsdale were our quick weekend trips to Vegas and San diego because they were only about 5-6 hours away via car! If y’all have any questions, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email [email protected] and I’ll be happy to provide any additional suggestions I may have. Hope y’all enjoyed this post 🙂
